What is to be done…?
There are always two sides of a picture. It doesn’t matter either we want to see them or not because it doesn’t make any difference.
These two sides are the opposite of one another but are the aspects of the same thing, present at the same time available for us.  For example when we look at the universe two extreme opposites are the sky and the earth, then Life and death, heaven and hell, ocean and the dried area, day and night, sun and moon, right and left, man and woman more specifically with in a human being his body and his soul or whatever thing, even a decision has the possibility of two outcomes for example it will be successful or it will not, pick anything you want and you will find its extreme opposites etc.
Before moving towards the concept I m trying to convey, I would like to prove my point,
“And of everything we have created pairs that you may remember (the grace of Allah)”verse 49, of Surah 51 “Azzariat”
The Arabic equivalent to the word THING is given to mean any thing that can be known, physically and spiritually. It implies that a thing is willed and wanted and hence it is revealed after being non-existing.
While the world PAIR in Arabic, means one member of a couple; anything that has a partner. It never means an absolute one or unity. Hence the Arabic word for pair is really a member of a pair, like something that has an opposite; like wet as opposed to dry, male vs female, day vs night, sweet vs bitter etc.
At-Tabari explained this verse to mean creating two different species like happiness and sadness, belief and disbelief, sky and earth, sun and moon, male and female. He also mentioned that a THING is created by Allah with an opposite.
On the other hand, pairing is the rule in the created world. Said Kuttub in his: \"In the Shadows of the Quran\" says: Recent scientific research is going to reach the fact that the structure and make up of this world can be traced to the atom. The atom is composed of an electric pair: positive and negative.
But the question is, Ok we have two choices, but what we have to do with that? Here comes my point that if we have accepted that yes we have two choices then what matters us is that; in our normal lives the thing which we confront the most in any matter is good or bad. For any matter you are confronted with, these two sides are always there for you.  It depends on you which side you see, to react accordingly. Your reaction to the situation determines which side you have taken. But the reaction depends on the environment and the circumstances in that situation which you are facing and most importantly your attitude towards that. So what we have to do is with this concept is next  when we’ll encounter any problem or any situation which makes you happy, take an excuse for two minutes or a moment from that situation, see both sides, think and act wisely.

Gender Communication in Business

Communication is necessary in all aspects of human endeavor. The subject of gender communication is not new, we all know that there are differences in the way women and men communicate. And these differences are shown in the work place as well. This phenomenon does not deal with the thing that men and women are equal. It is different from that. The concept I m telling about the perception of men and women for the same situation would be different because they both have different communication style.

Research says that “Starting in childhood, girls and boys are generally socialized to belong to distinct cultures and thus, speak in ways particular to their own gender’s rules and norms” (Johnson, 2000; Tannen 1986, 1990, 1995.) This pattern of gendered socialization continues throughout our lives. As a result, men and women often interpret the same conversation differently. Culturally diverse ways of speaking can cause miscommunication between members of each culture or speech community. These cultural differences are seen in the simple purpose of communication. This is one of the major reasons of difference in communication.

Some differences in the masculine and feminine characteristics are:

Masculine: Used to establish status and control by asserting ideas, telling jokes and stories, or challenging others, Avoids telling personal details; more abstract, Attempts to show knowledge, Practical; attempts to solve problems and find facts, Conversation is longer and more frequent, May reroute the conversation or interrupt, Language is more assertive; \"ums\" and such are more infrequent, Less responsive emotionally

Feminine: Used to establish and maintain relationships with others, Show equality with others by showing sympathy, etc., Full of questions to better understand others, Attempts to sustain conversation and invite interaction, often with questions, Involves emotional responsiveness; attempts to make others feel validated and included, Full of details and anecdotes, Includes verbal hedges and other forms of hesitancy

Men and women are also different from each other and behave differently when they are found in a similar situation. For example the response to a shut up or a junk call in the working environment would be different by men or women or even it would be perceived differently because of the culturally assumed roles, played by men and women in our society. Business is also a part of modern life, and we must know gender characteristics regarding business in order to be successful in it. Because gender characteristics really can affect our decisions. To illustrate, a situation in the workplace putting hand on the male coworker’s shoulder would be a normal thing but can be a case of sexual harassment in case of a female worker.  So it is important, to consider gender characteristics of people, to consider with whom you are dealing with, while making business plans and decisions and carrying out workplace activities.
