Happiness itself and to be happy are two different things. The first phenomenon does not guarantee you that you are happy because it is a broad term. This type of happiness can be due to any external reason, and may not belong to you. And when we narrow it down and focus on, being happy it means that this happiness lies within us. This is the most important thing and we shall focus on that.
It is impossible for everyone to be happy all the times; we are human beings so we face ups and downs in our normal lives. But the point is the life of happiness is less than sorrows for us. When find any sorrow in our lives we stick to that always refer to that even ignore the good things around us.
Artificial happiness is a term for an advice we normally hear, that act as you are happy when in actual you are not. It complements the concept of positive thinking. It means that if you confronted with a negative situation, don’t think about that, avoid it, and act as if you are not preoccupied by that situation.
It is said that happiness is a choice you have to make. It is a state of being only you can create.
At times, we are kept in a depressing mode and find no way to get out from that, in that situation one needs to apply this concept on the situation, because at that time the switch of our mind is blown, unable to find any reason to feel good. If we are able at that time to think properly about the solution then why we’ll depress. So we only need a tablet to relief pain. We don’t need or either we want to study how the tablet will be made which will cure me. Like when a patient is dying, feels difficulty in breathing, the doctor doesn’t start thinking that how to find a way to normalize his breath, but he immediately puts oxygen mask on the patient’s mouth to save him. Similarly when we are in a depressing mode, we are actually in a dark situation, what we have to do is to arrange a torch or a tube light, we should not wait for the daylight, or any aid from God or from any person to help us. If we’ll not do that it will have damaging consequences on us, our lives, health, career etc.
This means that it is not necessary to have reason to be happy. This is my life, why should I waste it by thinking and analyzing such things which could make me tense, which are invaluable, and will make my life worse. Why should I worry about this article, I m happy because I m writing it, you are reading it. This is enough for me to be happy.
So when next time you feel depressed or any negative situation or thoughts dominating your positivity then take one doze of artificial happiness every time you encounter it.
